Technology

How FDM Printing Works

Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) is an additive manufacturing process where a thermoplastic filament is melted and deposited layer-by-layer to build the final 3D object.

STEP 01 🖥️

CAD Model Sliced

Your 3D file is imported into slicing software that converts it into horizontal layers and generates the toolpath (G-code) for the printer.

STEP 02 🔥

Filament Heated

The thermoplastic filament is fed into a heated extruder (180–260°C depending on material), where it melts into a semi-liquid state.

STEP 03 📍

Layer Deposited

The extruder nozzle moves precisely along the X and Y axes, depositing the molten material onto the build plate in the exact pattern defined by the toolpath.

STEP 04 ❄️

Layer Solidifies

Each extruded layer instantly cools and bonds to the layer below it, forming strong inter-layer adhesion as the build progresses upward.

STEP 05 🔧

Support Removal

After printing, any support structures used for overhanging geometry are removed manually or dissolved (for soluble support materials).

STEP 06

QA & Dispatch

The finished part goes through our quality inspection process and is professionally packaged for delivery to your doorstep across India.

Material Library

10+ FDM Materials

We stock a wide range of engineering-grade thermoplastic filaments to match every application — from budget prototypes to high-temperature structural parts.

PLA (Polylactic Acid)
Best for visual models, education, and concept prototypes. Easy to print, low cost.
Most Popular
ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene)
Tough, impact-resistant. Great for enclosures, automotive parts, and post-processing.
Heat Resistant
PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate)
Best balance of strength, flexibility, and printability. Minimal warping, food-safe.
Recommended
TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane)
Rubber-like flexible material with 650%+ elongation. For gaskets, grips, wearables.
Flexible
PA12 Nylon
High strength, chemical resistance, and wear resistance for industrial parts.
Industrial
Carbon Fibre Nylon (PA6-CF)
Our strongest FDM material — 102 MPa tensile, 164°C HDT. For structural brackets.
Strongest
Polycarbonate (PC)
117°C HDT, optically clear option available. For heat-resistant and optical parts.
High Temp
ASA (Acrylic Styrene Acrylonitrile)
UV-resistant ABS alternative — ideal for outdoor and automotive exterior parts.
UV Resistant
PEEK (Polyether Ether Ketone)
Premium engineering polymer — extreme heat and chemical resistance for aerospace.
Premium
ULTEM (PEI)
High-performance polymer for aerospace and medical. Flame-retardant certified.
